Hungover or not, come watch the first sunrise of the year with your favorite COC peeps! Given that it's January 1, I won't be coordinating a carpool. If you are interested to carpool, send me an email indicating where you prefer to carpool from and I will circulate that information to others who live near you.

I will bring my stove and lots of tea and coffee to share. Bring whatever you want to eat!

There are no avalanche hazards on the main trail. However, it can be very slippery. We will also hike in the dark. Microspikes will be MANDATORY. As will be headlamps. Anyone without microspikes or headlamps will not be permitted to join the group.

Required Items to Bring:
-Proper hiking Boots and pack (PLS ensure your PACK is big enough to include extras -- a small water hydration bike pack that only fits your water hydration pack and small lunch is too small...one should always be ready for the unexpected)
- NO Sling pack.
-Plenty of water (min 1L )
-Micro-spikes or similar traction device.
-Toque and at least 2 pairs of mitts.
-Lunch
-Extra pair of socks(in case your current socks get wet your feet will freeze).
-Dress in layers.
-First-aid kit. Highly recommended-do not rely on coordinator.
-Bear spray and/or air horn and/or whistle - HIGHLY recommended, NO BEAR BELLS
-Change to pay your driver.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
• Hiking poles
-Headlamp
• Gaiters
• Camera
• Hand/toe warmers (i.e., Hot Shots)
