Bowness Lagoon Skate #50. ~ ~ ~ ~ F I R E & I C E * * * * *

Tonight's Bowness Lagoon Skate will once again feature a real wood burning fire with s'mores for all!

We'll begin the skate at 7:30pm followed by munchies around the fire starting just after 9pm at a picnic site adjacent to the lagoon. Feel free to arrive earlier or later than the official start time, skate as long as you like then join us by the fire when you're done. Bring a warm beverage for yourself if you so desire and a small snack to share with the group if you can. We'll keep the fire burning until about 10:45pm or so. Park closes at 11:00pm.

The Lagoon offers a nice large wooden deck with comfortable seating, gas fire pits, heated washrooms, a restaurant, snack bar and skate rental kiosk. Unfortunately, the snack bar and rental kiosk are usually closed during the evening so you should rent skates elsewhere if required.

This is a "drop in" event so regardless of whether you like to skate for 20 minutes or 2 hours you are more than welcome to register. If skating isn't your thing but you wouldn't mind dropping by to check out the facilities and maybe sit by the fire awhile and socialize, that's ok too!

Look for me in my Santa hat around the gas fire pits between 7:25pm-7:40pm, after that you can find me out on the ice somewhere.
