Itinerary:
Let's check out the newly re-opened Douglas Fir Trail, a route that goes up and down the escarpment above the Bow River, east of Edworthy Park. This is a short but reasonably strenuous hike with lots of ups and downs. We will walk at a moderately brisk pace.

We will meet on the SOUTH side of the river near where the pathway crosses the train tracks. (OPPOSITE side of the river to Angels Cafe). There is a parking lot right beside.

We will walk east, do the hike one way, and then make a decision on our return route. We have the option to return the way we came, to take the paved path on return, or to extend the hike by walking farther east..
