Please Note: This is a guided event, led by Ronna Schneberger, a certified Association of Forest & Nature Therapy Guide. I was fortunate to have had her as my instructor for a guiding course two years ago, which is what first sparked my interested in forest bathing. You can find out more about forest bathing at the links below. Note that you must follow specific sign-up instructions (below) in order to attend. About Ronna: "Ronna Schneberger has been a professional award winning naturalist, interpreter, and hiking guide in the mountain parks for over 20 years. In the last decade she incorporated yoga, meditation, and personal reflection in nature. The results were simply profound. In her quest to understand why time in nature easily creates such powerful experiences, she became the first Forest Therapy Guide in Alberta." "Today, Ronna is faculty with Leadership Development at the Banff Centre where she works with leaders, professionals and executives from all over the world using nature as the teacher to create powerful reflections and transformation. Ronna’s unique nature programs use proven techniques to help people reset their mind and nervous system so they can reclaim calm and clarity. She works with individuals and groups. With our increasingly busy technological world, research shows it is the nature wise who have the advantage in business and life."
Our Plan for the Afternoon: Note that if it is a chilly afternoon, we may opt to get a hot drink somewhere in Canmore to haven the car on the way back.

"We recognize that forest therapy approaches such as shinrin-
yoku
have roots in many
cultures throughout history. John Muir wrote, 'Thousands of
tired,
nerve-shaken, over-
civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the
mountains
is going home.
Wilderness is a necessity'.”
