This trip is intended for all levels of skiers and boarders. We will do one or two runs together then break up into groups based on similar abilities. Please read below for instructions. Make sure you know where the Petro-Canada car pool location is and where to park. We are leaving the car pool location at 7:00 am sharpPlease arrive 5 mins early (not too early please). DO NOT be late. If you are going to be late, call Noel at 403-618-8865 so that we can make arrangement to wait/not wait for you. We are gathering on the
SECOND FLOOR
of the Creekside
Pub (restaurant beside the gondola at the
base of the mountain)
at 8:15 am in order to
take the gondola up at 8:30 am
.
We'll have lunch at 12:30 pm. You don't have
to be with the group for lunch. You may continue
skiing or have lunch somewhere else.
A basic ski/snowboard rental package is $47+GST for sport performance gear, $63+GST for high performance gear. It is strongly recommended that you rent gear from the University of Calgary or from a Calgary ski rental shop as it typically is less expensive and can be picked up early in the morning or the evening before. | |||||||

Carpool Cost: | Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $81.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, March 29, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle. | ||||||

Winter Safety Considerations Due diligence completed by Noel on April 24/2019 Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because we will be skiing at a ski resort. No out of bounds skiing allowed. Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.
