Questionnaire:
Distance: 7 km round trip Elevation Gain: 213 m Fullerton Loop is an easy hike that provides excellent views (during the day) of the Elbow Valley and nearby foothills. The plan is to undertake this hike at a relaxed, but moderate pace by headlamp. We will stop to catch our breath when needed and enjoy the views by moonlight (if it happens to be out... otherwise it will be by ambient light from Calgary reflecting from the snow.:D) Note: This is a evening hike and it will be dark when we begin. Please ensure you have an operating headlamp with you, as well as some spare batteries. You are welcome to bring your dog if they are used to hiking with a group and can respect other dogs / hiker's personal space. Please consider attaching a flashing light to its collar to avoid anyone stepping or tripping on it. Thanks! We will be hiking the loop clockwise, therefore going UP the steep side and down the more moderate section. Please bring icers, even if we've had warm weather. There are many shaded sections that don't get enough sun to fully melt. If it's a deep snow night, you might even try a small pair of snowshoes - we'll play it by ear. Temperature cut off will be -20c (including wind chill). | |||||||
