The hike follows a well-marked wide trail and its countless zigzags wind lazily up the forested hillside. Your reward will be when you reach the summit ...a spectacular view on a clear day.

Please note that if you have never hiked before, then it is recommended that you start with a hike with alot lower elevation.

Please note that this hike will not be going at a super duper pace, but a regular pace so that we can all enjoy the hike with frequent water/snack breaks.

Required Items to Bring:
- HIKING BOOTS
- money for Banff Park entry fee or park pass
- water - 1litre minimum
- lunch/snacks
- a warm layer for when you reach the top (very windy)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take highway 1 west from Calgary into Banff National Park. Take the first exit into Banff, go through the town on the main drag (Banff Ave). Just after crossing the bridge you arrive at a T-junction. Turn left and then quickly right. Follow the signs to Sulphur Mtn./Gondola. Park at the upper parking area(Upper Hot Springs). The trail starts at the northwest end of the lot.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $96.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, April 18, 2024).
