Itinerary:
Cycle Canal Pathway from Calgary to Chestermere

Distance: approximately 64km return (including around the lake)
Elevation: mainly flat
Pace: steady yet relaxed
Terrain: 95% paved pathway

We will meet at Pearce Estates Parking area and bike south along the Bow River to the Ogden Road bridge where we'll divert to the canal pathway system and continue on to Chestermere. Upon arrival we'll take ample time to relax by the lake for lunch with opportunity to grab a coffee/snack at nearby Hortons, Starbucks, A&W, DQ, Subway etc before heading back the way we came.

Please Note: this ride is relatively easy in that the route is almost entirely flat HOWEVER keep in mind the windier it is the more difficult the ride becomes. Please do not be in a rush to get back, we're out to enjoy the day and with sunshine and 21c expected there's a good chance we'll linger in the park by the lake for an extended period of time.
