Description: Trail running is running / jogging / fast walking on hiking trails. Compared to road running, the terrain is softer but less even, more scenic, less busy, and often but not always hillier. Because of the uneven and hillier terrain, the pace is typically slower than road running, e.g. 6km/hr (16min/mi) uphill and 12km/hr (8min/mi) on the flats and downhill.

There are 2 routes you can choose. The shorter route is about 3.5km shorter and has 100m less vertical gain than the longer route. From the Station Flats parking lot, the long route follows the Diamond T Loop, Sulphur Springs and Elbow Valley trails. The short route skips the Diamond T Loop portion of the run.
