Itinerary:
We'll climb the big hill as many times as we can in one hour, with our weighted packs. This is excellent conditioning for elevation on backpack trips...doesn't it sound like fun? It's not supposed to! But we'll suffer together and when we backpack, we'll be glad we did.

Required Items to Bring:
- Your backpack, loaded up with the heaviest weight you're currently comfortable with carrying. We recommend starting with a pack of about 25 pounds and working your way up to your personal maximum - the experts recommend for that to be about 1/3 of your body weight. See our Backpacker Checklist for information about how to pack your pack. Even though we're filling up with water-weight, the "how to pack" section at the bottom of the checklist is still relevant.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:There is a big hill at the SW corner of the south entrance to Edworthy Park. Accessing Edworthy Park via Spruce Drive on the south (Bow Trail) side, come down the long hill into Edworthy Park (do not go to the upper lots near Sarcee Trail). Meet at the SW corner of the parking lot (the base of the hill) where we'll meet to start training.
