Marty and Rhonda just bought fancy hard-core new 15-watt head lamps and are heading up to Nose Hill for a mountain bike adventure in the dark. Novices and more advanced riders are welcome to join us - we can explore different options. You MUST, however, have a 10-watt (or greater) lamp, handlebar- or helmet-mounted. Here is an example of the type of light you need - an inexpensive headlamp is not sufficient to light the trail. MEC.

Required Items to Bring:
- Mountain Bike
- Helmet
- 10-watt (or greater) lamp
- Red tail light
- Water

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
- Personal first aid kit
- Clear-lens glasses or safety glasses (to protect your eyes from branches while we're going through the trees)
- Back-up light source (flashlight, cheap headlamp) to help you find your way back in case of a failure with your primary light source.
