Distance ~ 5.5KM
Lets work on our long distance abilities with a heavy pack this time around. The bigger the pack the better.
This event is for all levels of fitness. Go at your own pace plus a bit more (for that added challenge!).
We will begin at the southeastern edge of Edworthy Park and take The Douglas Fir Trail along the escarpment then pick up Quarry Trail eastward towards Crowchild Trail. At the end of Quarry Trail we will turn around and walk back the way we came to the starting point at Edworthy Park. As is customary, we'll head to a pub after for refreshments (beer, juice or water, it's up to you! Protein after the workout is always good for morale) and to get to know your fellow members better... which makes it more fun doesn't it? So come on by and have a great way to start the week! Chatting with your fellow club members, forgetting about starting another week, etc... PS: remember to get warmed up before you start any forms of exercise! | |||||||

How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | From the east, go past Westbrook Mall along Bow Trail. Coming from the west, head along Bow Trail after Sarcee trail. Turn north on 45 St SW. Turn west on Spruce Drive SW Enter Edworthy Park and take the first right in the park, you’ll head down a winding road to the park’s carpark which is on the SOUTH side of the river in the parking lot at Edworthy Park. (OPPOSITE side of the river to "Angels.") | ||||||
