Itinerary:

This event will go ahead rain or shine so please come prepared for all weather conditions.
- SATURDAY: Hike in from Elbow Pass Day Use area to Elbow Lake for a lunch stop, a trail with a height gain of 150m over 1.3 km. After lunch we'll continue on to the Tombstone Lakes backcountry campground - a further approx 7 km. The trail from this point is relatively flat and very scenic. There are several creek crossings so you may want to bring some sort of water footwear to change into if you prefer. At the campground we'll drop our packs, set up camp and then decide on a time to continue on to Tombstone Lakes - a further 3.6 km. I'm not certain of the elevation gain but there is some.
- SUNDAY: Dayhike options include Rae Lake and/or Sheep Lakes. We can finalize plans for Saturday around the campfire Friday night.
- MONDAY: Set off back home the same way we came.

There will be no pre-trip meeting as I'm expecting that those who sign up will have had some experience with backcountry camping, or you're coming with a friend who will assist you. If you prefer to share equipment, etc, please make arrangements with other registered participants.

Please keep dogs leashed at all times.
