The trail starts at Moraine Lake and quickly rises through a series of well constructed switchbacks. The trail levels off at Larch Valley. As you arrive in this alpine meadow, Eiffel Peak and Pinnacle Mountain stand in front of you and Mt Temple towers above to your right. Behind you are the Ten Peaks to complete this wonderful panorama. After a short break, we will make our way up Sentinel Pass to get a bird's eye view of the area. We will return the same way we came up.

Plan for a long day as we may stop for supper on the way back from the hike.

Please note: Our goal will be Sentinel Pass but due to cool spring temperatures, there may still be too much snow. We will hike to Upper Minnestimma Lake, have lunch and then decide whether to continue on to Sentinel Pass. If conditions are not suitable, we will backtrack to the Wenkchemna/Larch junction and hike to Eiffel Lake. **You must bring along sturdy hiking boots for this hike**
