Program A

"The Best of the Banff Festival of Mountain Films will be shown at the Rozsa Theatre at the University of Calgary from Tuesday to Sunday, January 20-25, 2009.

This is the 28th year that the Banff Mountain Film Festival will be shown in Calgary. These films represent some of the best mountain films shown at the 2008 Banff Mountain Film Festival. This year’s selection of films promises an evening of the world’s finest films which explore the nature of the human spirit in the face of adversity and adventure.

No single evening program could begin to show the range of the films shown over the three days of the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Because of this there will be two separate programs offered during the course of the Calgary screening. Program A will be shown on Wednesday,Friday and Saturday night along with a Sunday Matinee. Program B will be shown on Tuesday, Thursday and a Saturday Matinee.

We will meet in the lobby by the front entrance at 6:45PM. Please be on time as we need to get in line in order to snag a bunch of seats together. The theater doors will likely open at 7:00PM and the films will start at 7:30PM.
