Itinerary:
We will meet by the bag shelf. If you've never done a belay test before, please see the section titled Belay Test below.

Belay Test
In order to gain entry to the gym, you need to pass a belay test. It requires technical knowledge of climbing basics. It is a TEST of your grasp of this knowledge and is not something that you can fake, "wing", or hope for the best on if you have never climbed or have not climbed in a long time: you will not pass and the owners will not allow you to use the facility. Please note that club members are unable (not permitted) to provide instruction. The solution - if you are new to climbing or need a refresher - is to first go to any gym in the city and they can provide a basic lesson to get you started. Feel free to join us after you’ve made this initial step!

If you do know how to tie in and belay, but you’ve never been to this gym before, you must be able to pass the belay test without help – you can do this at the beginning of the evening (one time $5 extra charge). You may want to show up a half hour early to get this out of the way to ensure maximum fun time.
