Two Stop Tour - Rossland & Oregon Roy and I have signed up for a 3 day Mtn Bike Camp in Oakridge, Oregon and thought it would be a great opportunity to do some riding in Rossland on the way down.

So this is the plan
Rossland, BC Aug 16th Drive to Rossland and camp preferable. I will send more details on accomodation or camping when you sign up.
Aug 17th - 19th Ride the trails in Rossland with one of those days being the Seven Summit Tour - 30 kms. I can send you a link for some videos on 7 summit. There are a multilple of trails to choose from so we'll decide when we get there on what trail and how long you want to ride each day.

Mtn Bike Oregon
Aug 20th Drive to Oakridge Oregon for a 3 day wicked mountain bike camp.Please see web site for details. You will need to register yourself for this camp. $279 US

Aug 21 - 23rd Mountain Bike Camp, everything is included. Food, camping, beer, and of course the rides.
Roy and I have registered for an additional shuttle on Sat 22nd to Middle Fork. This is entirely optional and cost $40 US. Please see details on web site.
Aug 23 or 24thStart heading back after riding on the 23rd, or get a good sleep and drive home on the 24th

Other Options
If you want to just come to Rossland, great. If you prefer just the camp in Oregon, sign yourself up and we'll see you there. Or come for both. As each person is paying entirely for their own expenses the choice is yours.

Mountain bike, helmet, tools, tubes, pump, hydration pack, lube, wet and dry weather clothes, personal gear for a weekend stay out of town, camping gear. More details once you sign up.

PLEASE READ
We will be camping in both Rossland and Oregon so you will need all your camping gear. I will be sending out a suggested list to those who sign up.
Armour is not required but not a bad idea to bring it if you have it.

Pull out your road map and look up Rossland and Oakridge. Both are quite a drive. Once we know who is coming we can arrange car pooling and suggested driving directions.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $972.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

PLEASE READ
Rossland requires strong technical skills both up and down. If you can't ride down steep technical routes then this trip is not for you.
Oregon - I see they have limited beginner trails but I really think this is more suitable for difficult to advanced riders.

Cost Includes:

Camping in Rossland - each person will pay their own cost for camping and food. I will look into booking a camp site in Rossland
Oregon Camp - you will need to sign and pay for yourself on the www.mtbikeoregon.com web site. Everything is included for the 3 days

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
*Note: If we pre book a camp site and you cancel you will be required to pay your portion if we can't get a refund. Oregon bike camp cancellation is posted on their web site.
