What an unbelievable week! We were treated to amazing weather, a wonderful group, great food, and had two incredible guides: Barry Blanchard (one of North America's top alpinists) and Richard Howes, both of Yamnuska Mountain Adventures.

We were based out of Bow Hut for the first two nights, then traversed the Wapta Icefield to spend a night at Peyto Hut, and returned to Bow Hut for the last two nights. Ascents along the way included Mount Habel (3,087m) and Mount Olive (3,130m). Instruction included the following:

• Snow School - including ice axe self arrests where we were sent down snowy slopes on our backs, heads down first. A thrill really!
• Ice School - including building ice anchors
• Glacier Safety - including creavsse rescue
• Navigation - including map and compass use
• Safe Movement
• Accident and Emergency Procedures - including radios and sending out daily SPOT messages, and of course the
• CLIMBS!!!

Thank you everyone for making this one of the best outdoor weeks ever.
