Write Up:
A hot day on the reservoir
Our day started off at the Weaselhead parking area. As we traveled west over the Bow river we noticed the recent damage caused by the flooding. Beating off the mosquitos and dodging cyclist, we continued to the South Glenmore Park. After a short break from the heat we continued on past Heritage Park and the Rockyview hospital. As the heat intensified, a slight modification to our route was required. We then stopped off at the local convenience store where Leonard treated everyone to a much needed beverage/ ice cream. Once refreshed we finished the hike back at the parking area of 37th street. I would also like to report that with the donations received a total of $130 in food was donated to the Calgary food bank.- Thank you!
