Write Up:The hike was actually onto Pigeon Mountain, trailhead is close to the Dead Man's Flat turn off. We started hiking at 7.30pm with 28 degrees. Jack, Chris - it was his first event with the COC and he did great -, Vonda, Marina, Larissa and Irina were a great group, walking together and chatting and laughing together. We saw many deers close by in the first half hour, bears did avoid us, scared of the laughter.
We saw the sunset about 20 min before we arrived on the summit, the moon was already bright on the Eastern sky. After a long break on the top with more photos and food we returned over the same path we had come up. At one o'clock we were back at the cars, all tired and happy.
The hike was about 1100m total elevation gain and 14km long.
