Season 6 Week 5

After a lengthy 3 week break, COC'ers returned with a vengeance tonight as 47 eager participants jammed Vincent Massey School to compete for the most coveted prize in all of COC sports, the Dodge Ball Cup and vie for the right to have their name forever engraved on the infamous, Dodge Ball Wall of Fame! As customary, participants received their team assignment based on the playing card they randomly selected from the deck then gathered together with their fellow teammates to introduce themselves and come up with a team name. After a few minutes of bonding, team names were submitted and the quest for GOLD began with the first of 20 round robin match ups.

Each team played 10 times to determine their seeding for the playoffs. REDiculously Extravagant DodgeBallers (8-2) edged out The Grinches (7-3) for top spot, while the Wet Willies took 3rd spot at 4-6 leaving All Quacked Up at the back of the line with a disappointing 1-10 result.

In the semi-finals, top ranked REDiculously Extravagant DodgBallers made short work of the lowly All Quacked Up squad, sweeping them in 2 straight games while The Grinches needed a tie breaker to get by the Wet Willies 2-1.

In the medal round, theWet Willies failed to hold off a surging All Quacked Up squad losing the tie breaker and the bronze in the process. In other action, The Grinches, stunned the #1 ranked REDiculously Extravagant DodgBallers by defeating them in two straight games to steal the gold! Congratulations Grinches on your well earned Dodge Ball Cup victory tonight!
