Season 6 Week 10

Another great group of enthusiastic COC’ers gathered together at Vincent Massey Junior High School this evening to compete for the most coveted prize in all of COC sports, the Dodge Ball Cup and vie for the right to have their name forever engraved on the infamous, Dodge Ball Wall of Fame! As customary, participants received their team assignment based on the playing card they randomly selected from the deck. Individuals then gathered together with their fellow teammates to introduce themselves and come up with a team name. After a few minutes of team bonding, team names were submitted and the quest for GOLD began with the first of 20 round robin match ups.

Each team played 10 times to determine their seeding for the playoffs. E-lemon-ators lead the way with a solid 7-3 performance followed by Get Serious at 5-5. Double D and T.B.A.L. shared identical 4-6 records but 3rd place was awarded to Double D due to their winning record against T.B.A.L..

In the semi-finals, top ranked E-lemon-ators made quick work of T.B.A.L. disposing of them in 2 straight games while Double D won the tie breaker over Get Serious to earn a spot in the championship final.

In the medal round, Get Serious found themselves on the losing end of yet another tie breaker match as a more determined T.B.A.L. squad captured the bronze in a thrilling 2-1 series victory. In other action, the E-lemon-ators lived up to their name, with a convincing 2-0 series sweep of Double D to cap off their perfect 4-0 playoff run. Congratulations E-lemon-ators on your well earned Dodge Ball Cup victory tonight!
