Write Up:A real mixed bag for the weather today. A very pleasant temperature for our departure and most of the trip to Peter Lougheed. As we passed Mt. Kidd the temperature dropped dramatically from +10 to -10 for our start. Surprise! Alberta weather, it's very dynamic to say the least. The team made quick work of the snowshoe trail along hydro line and began the off trail portion. After following a previous track for a short distance we ventured off on our own to cut some trail. After a bit, it became clear that we were lost so the adventure could begin. As the questions started about which direction, my well thought out response was "up". After a few steep sections we made it to the summit, found the ski trail and were met by strong moisture laden winds. This made the trees incredibly beautiful and sadly reduced temperatures to below tolerable. A quick lunch and rapid retreat following in short order. Our decent was somewhat challenging as we were lost on the assent so didn't want to repeat the experience. After some fun downhill runs we eventually reached the ski trail again and made our way back to the vehicles.
