Write Up:
Monsoon June - a time when fewer people sign up for rides, expecting rain. I'm sure I wasn't the only one however our merry little band ventured out anyway. After a week of rain it was only to be expected that we would encounter mud. We did. Surprisingly little of it though. Some of the hilltop open tracks were even a little dry and dusty. Some were in excellent condition. Some had slightly greasy sections. I think the worst was a black rated trail towards the western end that was extremely muddy, greasy, and tricky. Went by the name of Wildcat or something.

All together a good evening and despite a black nasty cloud hovering to the south as we started, we got clear skies and sun at times. I'm sure there were at least three raindrops when we were in trees at one brief moment but the weather was kind to us. We could see rain to the east when we were done but sun to our west. The drive east along 16th Ave provided an entertaining lightning display - but the ride was done, the bevvies were done, and I was homeward bound.

Thanks to faces old and new who joined me, and stayed dry. I don't think I was the only one wearing dirt from falling but at least it wasn't even close to being a mud fest.
See you again soon.
