An absolutely glorious day in Kananaskis Country! Beautiful blue skies, incredibly warm temperatures and plenty of wildlife (including 2 separate moose sightings) made my first trip to Chester Lake a very memorable one! We left the trailhead around 11:30am and casually made our way to the lake by 1:00pm where we enjoyed our lunches and soaked up the sunshine for a good hour before eventually heading up to the Elephant Rocks (just a short distance away). These rocks are like a jungle gym for adults and we spent a good portion of the afternoon on them before finally heading back down the trail just before 4:00pm. A wonderful experience with yet another great group of COC'ers.
