Write Up:What a great group! Not a whimper or a whine as we got organized in the parking lot for the Vista Lake trail in rain and fog and not a glimpse of Storm Mountain or any mountain to be seen. Happily as we made our way down the trail the rain seemed to diminish and when we got to Vista Lake there were moments when Storm Mountain actually came into view for a few seconds (see photos). When we got back to the top, we found that the rain was still coming down so we headed to the Rockbound Lake parking lot and had lunch in the shelter of our cars and then headed up to Silverton Falls. Again, the rain seemed to decrease when we were on the trail. The t-section on the trail is difficult to see and we went straight to the end to the lower falls and then backtracked and found the trail switchbacking up to the upper falls. Very little snow on the Vista Lake trail and none on Silverton. Two great little hikes with a wonderful group.
