Glorious! 17C warmer on the trail than in Calgary today. I don't think I've ever experienced such a drastic change in temperature from an afternoon carpool (-9C) to a trailhead (+8C). A welcome surprise for all of us as we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon hiking the Loop. The majority of the trail was in summer like condition but there were several very icy stretches where icers came in handy (especially in the early going) but overall a simply fantastic day!
