Write Up:If you hold them they will come.... isn't that a line from a movie or something. Well there it was, an event for MTB beginners and one third of sign ups bailed. Untold thousands didn't come. Maybe the weather kept them away. Undeterred two of us headed out - one lazy bugger and one under-the-weather dude. The weather was as advertised - it rained. The 40% p.o.p. and <1mm came down to standing under a tree for maybe 5 minutes while the light shower passed. It was barely enough to dampen the trails and the nearest we came to mud was a single short spot that barely splashed. So if you're reading this from home where you were on Sunday.... you snooze you lose hehe.
