From Calgary, the weather looked miserable as Calgary was hammered with rain. The mountain forecast however, looked promising for Grizzly with 3-5 cm of snow. Thus, 5 brave comrades decided to go ahead and make the best of their time and went to Grizzly Peak.

As we drove west, we quickly could see the mountains covered with snow and we knew we were in for a treat. Upon arrive at the base, snow there was and it got thicker as we progressed to the col and up to the summit. We were met by a swarm of curious mountain goats. Their presence felt like we were in a safari watching the herd meander around us.

Because it was warm, the snow stuck to our icers in large clumps and made navigating the slope slippery and challenging.

Upon the arrival at the summit, as we setup our summit shot, "The Sun" came out to light the way home. Thank you Lord! An adventurous and safe day with great people.
