Write Up:While driving through dense fog heading west from the city, we wondered what were we in for
today along the Smith Dorrien. The fog lifted, the sky was blue, it was as calm as could be and
the temperature was ideal for the climb to Buller Pass. There was no snow at all nor icy trails to
deal with. Conditions could not have been more perfect for a late October day. We owned the
summit for our entire visit and made the best of our time, taking fun photos and watching
Christy go higher and higher and higher. It was a pretty place to be. Thank you all for sharing
the day with me, and thank you to Brian for helping me with the driving.
