Sun, Dec 6 2015 - St Patrick's Island and Pearce Estate Park (View Original Event Details)
|
We completed the planned itinerary. We first walked through the East Village and went inside the Simmons Building to see how it had been renovated. We then walked through St Patrick's Island. We walked up the hill and were pleasantly surprised to see a fire going in the fire pit, there were family events planned for later in the day. We walked through Inglewood by the Bow River and admired a house built in 1884 and read the informative plaque. At Pearce Estate Park, we looked at the Harvie Passage still devastated by the flood and walked along a creek and to a marsh. By then we were ready for our nice lunch at the Blackfoot Truckstop diner. We returned via 9th Ave through Inglewood and checked out the new little park in the East Village.
Thank you for joining me on this fun outing. Laura L
