Despite the windy conditions along the lakeshore, we were treated to an absolutely wonderful day out in K Country this afternoon complete with unseasonably warm temperatures and plenty of glorious sunshine. The trail was fairly slick throughout so icers definitely came in handy but there was no real need for gaitors unless you're looking to explore off the snow packed trail. It took us roughly 5 hours (including lunch) to complete the loop, finishing up just before 4:00pm today.
On a side note, the Barrier Lake Information Centre is closed for renovations until late March.
