A big thank you to Friends of Kananaskis Country for inviting us to promote our awesome club at the 2nd Annual Trail Fest event!
Trail Fest was a well run event held in the Kananaskis Village with a lot of free activites for people to enjoy such as hiking, orienteering and bear awareness. I had the pleasure of meeting people from a number of different organizations and clubs that had interesting activities for us to enjoy and even some volunteer opportunities in the near future. We enjoyed a free bbq lunch of hot dogs and burgers cooked by the staff of the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis.
I learned how to shoot inert bear spray and some interesting tidbits on what to do during a bear encounter.
Thank you to our President, Noel Sam and his wife, Mary-Jane for helping me promote COC. It was nice to meet some new faces and I hope to see you all again on the trails!
