Write Up:Variations of weather forecasts were available for our location so we were not truly sure what we
would be in for but went prepared for anything and everything. What we got was not what any
one of us expected. What a pleasant exciting surprise we received as we neared Guinn’s Pass.
After a couple of hours in dense fog, we came up and out through it. The fog rolled around
leaving windows where the peaks peeked through. It was incredible. There were loads of
ooooh’s and aaaaah’s, which was how we expressed our joy at the views. We hiked all the way
up to the Mount Kidd Outlier and made that our high point and lunch spot for the day. We spent
about forty-five minutes enjoying our surroundings. It was just a bit chilly with only a very slight
breeze, which made for a pleasant visit. On the way down we hiked back into the fog. It was
eerie yet pretty at the same time. On the way down, we passed a team from Search & Rescue
who were out training and practicing. Thank you Darlene for helping me with the driving. Thank
you to everyone for joining me on this event. It was a pleasure to share the day with you. See
you again on the trails. Andra
