We believed we were going to be in for a fun & fabulous day given a fine weather forecast. Yet when it came time to hit the trail we were not sure what our day would look like. It was dark & dismal, it was cold & snowy. We were believers so carried on. As we reached the open area close to the Halfway Hut, scattered blue spots appeared in the sky. We took a few minutes to fuel up then began our attack on Boulder Pass, Ptarmigan Lake and then on up to Packers Pass. Thank you to Tor and Nik for breaking a trail all the way up from the Lake to our destination of Packers Pass. Route finding was needed through the deep snow, it was slow going, we pushed on and finally made it. The wind was on the wild side so we opted for a shorter lunch break. The return trip was more pleasant as we had a trail to follow down, we were afforded more blue sky plus we could now feel warmth from the sun. We got the last few kilometres on the road over with quickly and I believe everyone was happy to finally be back at the trail head. What we originally believed did come true. Our day was fun & fabulous & fine!
