What a breathtakingly beautiful day! The weather was sunny, the company was fantastic, and no matter which way you looked, you had view after view of stunning scenery from majestic mountains to lush valleys to creeks and rivers to dense forests to meadows and even a couple of waterfalls. After the initial short but steep trudge to Elbow Lake, we continued on a flat and often rocky road, pushed our way through a dense and overgrown forest trail, followed by some bushwacking and route finding, covering a round trip total of 17km and over 500m elevation gain as we made our way to beautiful Rae Lake and back. What a great group to share a memorable day in the mountains with. Thank you Nohelia and Brent for driving, and I hope you will all join me again on another hike soon!
