So what do the weather forecasters know?
Earlier in the week the forecast wasn't so great. Then as the forecast got better a bunch of folks signed up. We started the event with six people then for varying reasons people withdrew from the event. By the trailhead we were only three. Mike warned us we'd have to listen to him complaining about the cold and the muddy trails. Myself and Andrew headed out along Elbow but called back to leave Mike a voicemail about his indecision informing him the trails were dry.

Andrew and myself took Sugar Daddy up to Strangebrew and Mike ended up meeting us at the top of Sugar Mama. Then we headed down Bobcat, Tom Snow, and R1.

The trails were dry with just enough moisture to keep the dust down. The overcast skies kept the clouds bottled up with only a couple raindrops reaching us as we stopped at the bottom of Bobcat for a drink. To be fair Tom Snow has the occasional wet spot but that is normal and expected, and could be avoided. Even after the hydration stop at the Powderhound Saloon, it was only the drive back to the city when the rain became evident.

Thanks for sticking it out boys and having a nice morning ride with me.
