Write Up:The event began with a 90 minute show and discussion of required and recommended gear for hiking on the trails in the mountains, from boots, poles, bear deterrents, layers, headlamps and the list goes on and on!
We proceeded to walk the endless trails in the park in the valley, avoiding the heavy smoke. Questions were answered and experiences discussed. The group was very appreciative of the knowledge being passed along.
I would recommend this Provincial Park for easy hikes, great views (when the smoke finally leaves us) and for trail running as well.
All in all, a pleasant and enjoyable day!
