Our first event on Calgary's newest course (North Glenmore Park) was an eventful one. The course itself is temporary and depending on feedback may or may not become permanent. Overall it's quite a nice layout with the majority of fairways mowed but the mosquitoes were definitely noticeable and you wouldn't last long without repellent. The course uses tonals versus baskets with holes closer to the homes using just a wooden pole to minimize noise. Discs that go off centre into the taller grass can require extra time to locate but overall I really enjoyed it.
Today's game was a close one that wasn't decided until the 18th hole where Jesse ran into some trouble and had to take a penalty stroke to get out of the rough allowing Ken to steal the victory and receive the first ever Green Jacket awarded at North Glenmore Park. Congratulations on your big win Kenny!
