Write Up:What a gorgeous day for this hike: 7 degrees C and a warm wind. Trails
were icy, but our micro spikes were perfect for getting us over hill and
dale. On the leeward side of slopes, there was no snow and trail were as
dry as they are in the summer. There was very minor fat-tire bike
traffic on the trail, and no skiers in sight when we crossed ski trails,
due to the icy conditions. That could change with some snow that is
expected. The next time out on Range Summit, we might be snowshoeing.
Either hiking or snowshoeing, it's an enjoyable hike with a couple of
nice spots to stop for snacks with views.
