It was a cooler day with overcast skies and windy above the tree line. The trail started off as an easy stroll through the meadow and then it changed to a steep climb for 12 km with very few flat spots through the switchbacks. Above the tree line was a steep climb up loose rocks and slabs. We made our way over the rocky ridge up some scree to the fire lookout which has seen better days and missing a few more boards on the floor and walls.
Our powerhouse team knocked this hike off in 4 hours. It was a special honour to have Patrick Burke with us to capture some great photos and summit the mountain of his ancestors namesake.
