Write Up:The first 4.7km was biked up some steep sections of rocky road and
leveled out through the forest. The hike to Ribbon Falls was just over
5km along a dirt path above the Ribbon Creek with beautiful smaller
waterfalls and crystal clear pools. The additional 2km up to Ribbon
Lake was a steady climb up scree slopes, boulder fields and a short
scramble climbing up metal ladder steps and cables (Via Ferrata Style)
up a rock cliff. We stopped for lunch around the fire pit at the
backcountry campground before heading back to the bikes. The ride down
was fast and required not much effort which was welcome after such a
hard day hiking. Total km was 24 completed in 4 hours and 45 minutes.
