Write Up:We picked a good day for this hard hike and had no wind until the
bottom when we needed to be cooled down. The steady climb warmed us
up right away. The crux was well marked with blue tags to show us the
way up and the chimney was also marked to direct us up to the top. The
trail was dry for the most part and had a few snow covered sections
near the top. We saw a few marmots enjoying the sun at the edge of
cliffs. Our lunch spot was looking out towards Mt. Lougheed and before
the last climb up to the summit. On the way down we encountered some
more snow covered sections and had to butt slide in a few spots. As
we came to the dry creek bed, we noticed that someone had left their
campfire burning so we stopped to pour some more water on it with some
help from another hiking group to ensure it was out entirely.
