We started off with a gentle stroll through a golden forest for about 1km and then it got steep. The trail was well packed and had a few patches of mud and snow. We hiked for about 2.5 hours before we stopped for a snack break to enjoy the view and the larch forest. The wind picked up shortly thereafter and we found a boulder field for our lunch break to shelter from the wind. After lunch we made our way through the boulder field and hiked along some huge rock formations. We had a short scramble and then we made our way up the even steeper incline to the false summit. The ridge was covered with a bit of snow and it was quite windy. We didn't realize how much incline we covered on the way up but our knees let us know on the way down. It took us approximately 8 hours to complete and we were all looking forward to a hot bath and rest when we got home.
