Write Up:Turned out be pretty good day to get out for a hike. Our group of five headed out from the
trailhead at 9:35am onto a fresh layer of snow from the night before. It was cloudy, snowing
and sunny in turns all day - no rain! We arrived at the saddle at 11:40am and had a relaxed
lunch (and superb cookies...thanks Gillian!) We continued onto the Powderface Ridge Trail
just after noon and didn’t have too many problems finding the path (thanks to Jim and
AllTrails). We arrived at the pile of rocks signifying the end of the trail at 12:50pm and after
having a look over the ridge we made our way back. A short stop at the Saddle was had at
1:40pm. The way back went a lil’ quicker. We got back to the parking lot at 3:35pm without
seeing a single other hiker the whole day.
