Write Up:On a cool, lightly rainy day near Bragg Creek, COC outdoor enthusiasts
gathered for the Fullerton Loop - Baffin/MEC Special Event. Much
needed hot coffee from Bragg Creek Bakery and fresh cookies were
waiting on arrival. Despite the drizzle, energy and excitement ran
high as 25 participants set out in three groups, each guided by two
dedicated coordinators.
Baffin representatives Mitch and Renee were on-site to showcase
Baffin’s new Terrain Collection, their latest line of hiking boots
designed for all-day comfort and rugged performance. The boots —
available in blue, black, orange, and mustard — were displayed at a
special Baffin booth, giving participants a chance to see the
collection up close. The Terrain Collection is now available
exclusively at MEC stores across Alberta.
Adding to the spirit of adventure, Mitch joined one of the hiking
groups to experience the trail firsthand and connect with participants
along the route. Hikers enjoyed catching up with long-time members of
the COC, sharing stories, and taking in the crisp mountain air.
A few lucky groups even spotted a moose just off the trail, creating
an unforgettable wildlife moment. After the hike, everyone gathered to
finish off the cookies and coffee, the perfect way to warm up and
celebrate the day.
The event wrapped up with a $1,000 prize draw, and congratulations
went to Diane Patterson, who was thrilled to win — especially since
she mentioned she’d never won anything before! Included in her prize
is a brand new pair Baffin Terrain Collection boots.
All in all, it was a fun COC event that celebrated the outdoors, great
company, and innovative new gear built for adventure.
