Write Up: We had a beautiful summer day for this hike. The trail started as a
gradual climb up a dirt road through the forest. We came upon an
avalanche path timber break which was quite impressive to see the force
and destruction caused by an avalanche. A short walk from that area was
the first lake, Tower Lake. The last ascent was a grind up a 100m to
Rockbound Lake. We found a great lunch spot on a giant rock slab and
soaked in the sun. The wildfire smoke was slowly creeping through the
valley up to the lake.
