Write Up:A niced crisp morning that we started off on.
Everyone was bright eyed, bushy tailed and raring to go.
Reaching the car park and some of use were like where's the washroom? Men did it the old fashioned way, the ladies headed to the Gondola station. So getting that out the way, the hike (walk?) proper started with everyone merrily chirping along the trail.
The higher up the mountain we got, the views became more and more spectacular. Everyone upon reaching the top headed straight for the gondola's cafeteria for some much need food and drinks. The sole exception being Ooofy who was experimenting with different ways to use hiking pole in dealing with a bum hip and arrived a wee bit later. A few decided to head to the peak while the rest watched them have their fun via a panaramic window. Heading back down via the Gondola was fun, sure beats having to walk down the path. Then it was time for the real purpose of the trip, the soak in the Hot Springs!
Ahhhhhh bliss, it was steamy and hot and soothing, we had a great time chatting with each other and Janet's nifty little waterproof camera was really handy cataloging the various bodyparts that were in the pool. Then reluctantly we dragged ourselved out of the pool and headed to town for part 2 of the day's attraction, Dinner! But we had a bit of time for a stroll around the town first and some souvenirs were picked up. The dinner was merriment personified, peals of laughter could be heard around the room. The gift exchange went smoothly with with everyone getting their share of surprises.
All in all it 'twas a wonderful day.
