Write Up:It was an absolutely glorious day - everything was perfect. The weather was fantastic - cool, calm, brilliant blue skies - terrific for a hike. The trail, with the exception of the short avalanche area, was easy with lots of soft terrain which made for an enjoyable walk. The undulations added variety, and provided for a bit more of a workout. The lake was magnificent -and the mountains awe inspiring. It's hard to image scenery more spectacular. And the group - what can one say - incredible. We covered 16 kms. in just over 5 hours. After the hike, we stopped at the Lodge at Kananaskis for refreshments, and more socializing.
