Write Up:
Our group had an eventful day full of interesting twists and turns and changes of plan.

The Weather Network predicted "a sunny day with a high of 5C". Sounded like a great hiking day to me. And the weather in Calgary was clear and pleasant. So, imagine my surprise when at 9:30 AM I received a phone call from our ski instructor friend at Nakiska saying "Don't come! It's pouring rain. It's too dangerous to do anything out here right now." Wow!

Many quick "alert" phone calls, and some of us decided to meet at the carpool to discuss an alternate. Bragg Creek was raining too, so we decided on a hike around Glenmore Reservoir. Lots of ice on the trails, and we all returned feeling like we had gotten a good bit of exercise.

I learned: "Always have two good similar options available in alternate locations."

I really enjoyed the company of those who made it out today. Thank you for coming!
